Have you seen the kids’ e-mag Action Pack? It’s put together by Kathreen of Whip Up fame (and editor of the Kids’ Crafternoon books) and each themed issue is full of entertaining and educational things for kids to do. It’s aimed at kids 7+, not parents, with projects requiring minimal supervision and encouraging exploration, creativity and independence. Part of the philosophy behind Action Pack is: that kids are competent, creative and capable people; kids are resourceful and clever; there are learning opportunities everywhere and it should be and can be fun.
The current issue titled Chalk and Cheese has just been released and amongst lots of great projects it contains a chalkboard project I created. Go on over to Action Pack to read more, purchase the e-mag and also back issues.
