I’ve realised that a lot of the more personal things that I used to share here on the blog I’m now sharing on Instagram. It hasn’t been an intentional shift, but because I’m such a visual person I’m loving Instagram’s photographic micro-blogging platform. I thought you might like to see some montages of what’s been going on behind the scenes lately.
Summer arrived here in Sydney and Roxy and I have been enjoying huge juicy mangoes and the frangipani tree at the front door is in full bloom.
I’ve been making more macrame, lovely big salads, a chunky cotton scarf for Roxy, and I’ve been weaving.
I’ve received some lovely things: A hanging geranium wrapped in moss and neon cord, some gold nail polish (and I promptly gave myself a dodgy mani), some lovely earrings, and a beautifully wrapped parcel.
But wait, there’s lots more! Click on the link below to see what else we’ve been up to, what we’ve been making, and our prep for Christmas.
Roxy made the cutest rabbit hand puppet with feather ears, a fab new hairstyle complete with chopsticks, some paper cut outs for Christmas cards, and she decorated a gingerbread house for her class party.
We visited the amazing Christmas lights that are projected onto St Mary’s Cathedral, I saw and loved these chunky pencils at my local art supply shop, I spied a cloud in the shape of Australia (Tassie is just out of shot) and I saw lots of lovely things at the Finders Keepers market.
I also made some coil bowls and a huge tassel from this glorious rag rope.
Edit: I made these as props for Country Style magazine, which I can reveal now, as they have appeared in the mag.
We hung out and enjoyed our home.
And things are starting to look a lot like Christmas…
Only 4 more sleeps…
