I can’t believe it’s the first day of spring. This year has flown, and I almost forgot to give a big shout-out to Mollie Makes magazine, who featured Lisa’s gorgeous rope-coiled vessels on their cover (issue 49) earlier this year. Wow! Lisa made front cover!
I remember popping over to Lisa’s apartment when she was working on these vessels, and I typed away as she stitched. I really love the cheery colour palette in she used in these bowls and vases. Pastels and brights make a great colour combination.
If you’d like to learn how to make a rope-coiled vessel, head over to Lisa’s step-by-step tutorial here.
You can see that the lovely end results are worth the time and effort – and stitching a rope coil vessel is a wonderful meditative project. If you like to practice mindfulness, this craft is one you might like to consider.
And that’s not all.
The current (September 2015) issue of German magazine Das Haus Ideen Magazin has featured Lisa’s inimitable string art project in a gorgeous spread, and they’ve included We Are Scout in their ‘Creative Blogs’ section.
Double wow! Danke Das Haus Ideen Magazin.
