Artist Amy Wright has created a series of original botanical inspired works for the Ivy Muse Botanical Emporium in Melbourne. This light and bright plant filled space is the perfect setting to compliment Amy’s work.
Titled ‘Arrangement Series’, the collection consists of ten original artworks on canvas. Using a layering of water-based, oil and spray paints, Amy explores the interplay between vessel and flora in a still-life environment.
Amy’s diverse background in painting and drawing, surface pattern design and floral artistry is evident in her layered paintings. She works from her Bayside Melbourne studio and is influenced by her environment and the botanical materials she surrounds herself with.
The Ivy Muse Botanical Emporium has only been open since August 2016, and Amy Wright is the second artist to exhibit in the big plant filled space. The design-driven emporium houses Ivy Muse plant stands and products, complemented by pots, plants, original art and a curated collection of homewares sourced locally and around the globe.
Ivy Muse co-founders and long time friends lana Langan and Jacqui Vidal are driven by a commitment to encourage creativity with greenery. I know I’m not the only one who could just move right into this bright space that’s bursting with plants.
